Mr. Fecas joined GMK in early 2017 as a graduate engineer to assist in the production of mechanical plans and specifications associated with the range of projects under the engineering division’s purview. Since that time, he has gained experience and honed his talents in the full range of HVAC and associated mechanical systems design, and has prepared engineering narratives and plans/specifications for projects in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Fecas is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and recently became a registered professional engineer in South Carolina. With 6 years of progressive industry experience, his work at GMK has focused on task order projects under various mechanical engineering IDQs, as well as small medical office and commercial structures. During his academic career, Mr. Fecas was named to the Dean’s List and was selected as a Junior Fellow for USC’s Ronald E. McNair Center for Aerospace Innovation and Research, an academic center specifically founded to help grow South Carolina’s knowledge-based economy and support industry through aerospace education, research leadership, and industry advancement. In addition to applied fabrication skills gained as a mechanical fabrication assistant and a CAD/CAM technician at the McNair Center, Mr. Fecas is proficient in Creo (ProE) and AutoCAD software.
