Director of Marketing
As GMK’s director of marketing and member of the firm’s executive team,
Mr. Neuman is responsible for collaborating with company leadership and sales staff to support business development efforts and implement integrated marketing strategies for GMK’s multiple divisions that align with income growth objectives. He further supervises marketing staff and oversees budgets to develop company positioning, messaging, and “branding” within targeted client sectors. Mr. Neuman is an executive-level marketing and business development professional with 29 years of experience in the creation, maintenance, and promotion of corporate “brand identities” and management of formal proposal/presentation development processes that convey key differentiators and innovative win strategies. He further manages public relations initiatives and oversees the firm’s web/social media presence and digital marketing strategies. Prior to joining GMK in 2013, Mr. Neuman was the director of marketing for a start-up civil engineering and economic development firm that formed in 2006. He has also worked in the transportation, environmental remediation, and business communications industries, including significant experience with federal, state, and local government contracting processes. Mr. Neuman holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in English from the University of South Carolina. He has been involved in numerous professional organizations that include the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Society for Technical Communication (STC), and the South Carolina Economic Developers’ Association (SCEDA).
