Ms. Usry is a contract administrator for GMK’s construction services division and is responsible for managing the day-to-day office operations of the GMK – Augusta, GA, office. She has over 28 years of experience in the construction industry with diversified experience in accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, financial analysis, office management, marketing, insurance, and contract law. Her tasks include the following program management / administration services: program / project budgeting and financial analysis for the Richmond County Board of Education bond referendum programs (Phase I - $115 million, Phase II - $150 million,
Phase III - $194 million, Phase IV - $146 million, and Phase V - $156), contract administration, submittal services management, program planning and scheduling, payment administration, change order processing oversight, and contract cost accounting. She further manages and maintains the FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) budgets, maintenance and operations budgets, and oversees all project contract / budget closeout functions. Other duties include project assessment, local business participation management, website management, planning and assessment of needs for future projects, and oversight of all insurance requirements for each project.
Ms. Usry is a member of Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), where she obtained her construction document technologist (CDT) certification and has completed the course work for the certified construction contract administrator (CCCA) designation. She is also currently working toward a certified construction industry financial professional (CCIFP) designation.
She is a licensed realtor in the State of Georgia where she is a member of the Greater Augusta Association of Realtors, the Georgia Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. In addition, Ms. Usry is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), where she has served on the Board and has chaired several committees. She previously held insurance licenses in the state of Georgia and South Carolina and is a graduate of Augusta College with a degree in business / marketing management and Troy University with a degree in general education – leadership.
