Scott Allen
Project Superintendent / Craftsman
Following his honorable discharge from the United States Army and after serving as an apprentice carpenter, Mr. Allen received a journeyman carpenter’s certificate in 1977. He joined GMK in the early 1980s as a carpenter and craftsman, assisting on multiple construction assignments that included work on a large corporate office complex on Main Street in Columbia that later served as the SCANA headquarters and now serves as a major student housing development. Mr. Allen has spent the last 35+ years as a carpenter/craftsman in support of finish work for the firm’s design-build and other construction efforts across healthcare, commercial, and educational markets. He has also served as a project superintendent when needed for short-term construction project assignments, coordinating the completion of all site construction tasks. Mr. Allen’s skill and attention to detail as a craftsman has been key to the quality of hundreds of GMK’s finished construction efforts for his over three and a half decades with the firm.
