Eric R. Sosa
Design-Build Project Manager
Based on his diverse background in construction oversight, contract management, project controls, process improvement, master planning, sustainable facility development, and facility operations, Mr. Sosa serves as a construction project manager for GMK’s design-build division with responsibility for managing complex and large-scale construction efforts in the healthcare and government markets. Mr. Sosa offers 23 years of progressive experience primarily in major U.S. Department of Defense facility programs, engineering operations, and other operational services, and he has proven high-level leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as strong capabilities in interfacing with high-profile staff, vendors, and customers. His abilities in seeing the “big picture” while remaining versatile and on top of key details has been critical to his success in guiding cross-functional teams and exceeding project goals and objectives for multi-hundred-million-dollar construction programs that involve complex operational objectives and thousands of civilian and military personnel. Mr. Sosa is extremely well-versed in navigating the requirements of the U.S. military engineering community and has worked with organizations as wide ranging as USACE, AFCEC, USCENTCOM, SOCCENT, and AFSOC.
His experience includes major construction and operational efforts both stateside and internationally, including key overseas assignments in Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan, Diego Garcia BIOT, Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Djibouti. Prior to joining GMK in 2022, Mr. Sosa served as program manager, Qatar, Al Jabar, and Housing and as division chief, civil engineer operations & readiness (senior program manager) with the Installations Directorate, Headquarters Air Forces Central Command at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC. In addition to a successful military career, Mr. Sosa holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.
