Project Architect

Mr. White serves as a project architect supporting all aspects of architectural design projects, beginning with preliminary drawings and building models through preparation of final construction drawings and coordination with construction contractors. Since joining GMK in early 2019, Mr. White has supported architectural designs for GMK’s governmental and commercial clients. Mr. White possesses a total of 11 years of experience in a variety of architectural design, planning, estimating, and construction roles. He is currently spearheading the designs for GMK’s agricultural complex and community center projects with Laurens County. For three years prior to joining GMK, he provided drafting, modeling, graphics, and other architectural design support for a Lexington, SC-based firm that specializes in third-party Integrated Product Delivery and Design/Build services. Previously, he served in various design support roles for architecture and engineering firms located in the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia area that focused primarily on retail, hotel, residential, and transportation projects. Mr. White is a registered architect in South Carolina and holds a master of architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (through the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center, an urban extension of the Virginia Tech School of Architecture + Design), as well as a bachelor of architecture degree from Clemson University (where he also minored in horticulture). He further offers skills in a wide array of drafting, graphic design, 3D modeling, BIM, and rendering software, including Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite, among other advanced design software.
