GMK Associates was retained as a subconsultant to Cohn Construction for the provision of professional engineering services associated with a new indoor tennis facility for the University of South Carolina. Under the scope, GMK provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans for the athletic facility project. These plans were prepared to the design-build level and included specifications.

The design team partnered with the University of South Carolina Development Foundation to build the new state of the art indoor tennis facility that provides an alternate venue for tennis competitions in the event of inclement weather. In addition, the facility positions the University of South Carolina as an ideal place to host tennis tournaments, events, and competitive tennis camps. The 55,000 SF facility has six indoor asphalt paved tennis courts and elevated viewing for spectators. The collegiate tennis center opened for the 2021 athletic season.
