CareSouth Carolina

CareSouth is a community health center that delivers comprehensive medical services through multiple locations in South Carolina’s Pee Dee region. In order to free up more space dedicated to treating patients at a nearby Hartsville facility, CareSouth initiated plans in 2020 to relocate its office and administrative functions from that location into an approximately 15,000-sf school building located on the historic campus of the former St. David’s Academy.

GMK assisted CareSouth with the feasibility planning and follow-on architectural and engineering design services for the complete renovation and conversion of the formerly vacant and dilapidated school building to now house a modern call center, an area for medical records storage, and multiple other office and administrative support areas.
