Kendra Harris
Associate AIA, NCARB
Intern Architect

Kendra Harris serves as an architectural intern supporting GMK’s architecture division. She has gained experience with project planning, developing drawings and specifications from design concepts through final design. Kendra brings critical strengths working within collaborative, multidisciplinary teams in the development of cohesive, high-quality, and client-focused project designs that integrate key elements of functionality and aesthetics. In addition to a strong foundation in established general architectural methods and protocols, Kendra also offers specific experience in patient-centered designs for healthcare-related projects. She further possesses excellent IT skills and is proficient in a wide range of architectural software tools (AutoCAD and Revit), as well as graphic design and 2D/3D presentation tools, that facilitate the effective illustration of her creative design concepts. Kendra holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and is currently completing a Master of Architecture degree at SCAD (with an expected graduation date in June of 2024). She has garnered multiple honors throughout her academic career, including both undergraduate and graduate scholarships, and has served as a volunteer mentor within the ACE Mentor Program (a no-cost after-school program that prioritizes workforce development for high school students by connecting them with experts from the design and construction industry). Prior to joining GMK in 2023, Kendra previously gained additional industry experience as an architectural intern with another respected architecture, interiors, and planning firm based in South Carolina.
