Under a small purchase professional services contract, GMK Associates was retained to provide architecture and engineering services for the addition of a new storefront entranceway and entry canopy at the north wall near the northwest corner of the South Carolina Department of Administration Facility Surplus/Fleet Complex in West Columbia, SC. The agency plans to convert the parking lot that is situated to the north of the Surplus/Fleet Complex into a visitors parking lot. Improvements will also consist of enhancing/expanding the pedestrian plaza walkway and sidewalk at the new entrance, as well as a motorized gate for the entrance off of Boston Avenue and a section of security fencing at the east side of the visitors parking lot to restrict access. The work also includes relocation of an existing gas meter.
