As the former president of GMK Interiors, Ms. Monahan oversaw the division’s operations, with primary focus on the projects' quality assurance, finish/furniture budgets and coordination of the clients' project specific requirements. 

In 2022, Ms. Monohan officially transitioned into retirement, while maintaining an ex-officio role on the firm’s Board.

Ms. Monahan had brought forth 35 years of experience in the design and furniture industry, 32 of which had been with GMK, and she had spoken at numerous national and state-level industry conferences. Ms. Monahan holds a bachelor of science degree in business marketing from the University of South Carolina.
