Design-Build Project Manager

Mr. Register serves as a design-build project manager in GMK’s design-build division responsible for the oversight and coordination of design and construction tasks from initial conceptual planning through issuance of certificates of occupancy. Over his 19 years of experience in the design and construction industry (17 years with GMK), Mr. Register has proven to be a strong asset and Owner advocate on numerous complex design-build projects across public and private industry sectors. His duties include assisting Owners with initial property due diligence (determining if the site has adequate potable water, sanitary sewer and storm water infrastructure), developing preliminary site plans and project concepts, coordinating completion of project designs and schedules, and developing/reviewing project budgets to ensure each project realizes the vision of the Owner. Mr. Register also prepares Owner agreements and works with relevant local authorities to obtain all necessary project permits. He further enjoys an outstanding reputation for maintaining constant and consistent communication as a liaison between the Owner and the GMK project team through completion of project final design and construction. Some of Mr. Register’s recent project assignments have included the Town of Andrews new municipal complex, Allen University Wavery-Good Samaritan Hospital renovation and addition, Fairfield County historic courthouse renovation, and the Regional Medical Center Barnwell-Bamberg Emergency Medical Center project. Mr. Register graduated from The Citadel in 2001 and holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia and is a licensed general contractor.
