Marta Lockwood

NCIDQ-Certified and Licensed Interior Designer

Ms. Lockwood is an NCIDQ-certified and licensed interior designer with a focus primarily on projects within the senior living industry. In this role, she has assumed project management and lead design responsibilities for multiple larger-scale LifePlan/CCRC projects, including a current multi-year major effort at the Blakeford at Green Hills (Nashville, TN). This “community re-positioning project” entails interior designs for an over 87,000-square-foot independent living expansion and the renovation of existing independent living and skilled nursing common spaces, as well as a new wellness center, new dining venues, and major renovations to the community’s assisted living common spaces and resident apartments. Ms. Lockwood’s attention to detail and design talent adds an extra “wow factor” to each of the projects in which she is involved. She offers exceptional schematic design skills, and brings her designs to life through creative boards, computer-generated graphics, and other visuals. In 2020, Ms. Lockwood passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam and became an NCIDQ-certified and licensed interior designer. The three-part NCIDQ exam is currently the only nationally recognized professional interior design certification in the United States and Canada. Ms. Lockwood previously graduated with honors from Ohio University with a bachelor of fine arts degree in interior architecture. She is further proficient in a multitude of design software including AutoCAD, Revit and Photoshop, among others.
