Mr. Boone is an engineering professional with over 28 years of experience in all facets of computer-aided design/drafting and a specific focus on electrical systems. He joined GMK in 2022 to support the engineering division in the preparation of technical drawings of electrical and wiring systems related to power transmission/generation and lighting, fire alarm, communication, and security systems, primarily for government, healthcare, and higher education facilities. His strengths include working in close coordination with the architecture and engineering teams to develop detailed technical specifications and translate them into accurate, precise, and functional documents that guide the installation and maintenance of overall electrical wiring systems, as well as specialized equipment system installations. He is also adept at collaborating with technicians, engineers and contractors to resolve any issues that arise during the construction project lifecycle. Over the past three decades, Mr. Boone has served as an electrical designer for several respected professional engineering firms and electrical contractors based in the Carolinas, including beginning his career as an electrical designer with GMK. Mr. Boone has completed extensive coursework in computer science at Midlands Technical College, and is highly proficient in key Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk, and MicroStation, as well as a wide variety of photo/video editing, website development, and desktop publishing software packages.
