Clinton S. Earnest

Electrical Engineer

Mr. Earnest offers 6 years of engineering and project management experience, with an emphasis on electrical system designs/specifications, regulatory compliance, planning, scheduling, needs development, and cross-discipline coordination. Mr. Earnest joined the GMK team in 2017 and has played a vital role in the production of plans and specifications for lighting, power, and communication system design for a range of clients and industries. Mr. Earnest independently develops electrical designs and construction documents as a key member of multi-discipline architecture/engineer teams on projects ranging from new healthcare facilities to renovations of historic buildings and upfits of commercial and industrial facilities. He has also taken the lead in electrical-only projects ranging from communication system modifications to switchgear replacement and generator additions. He is proficient in design software including AutoCad, Revit, and Visual Lighting Software.  Mr. Earnest is an avid user of Plangrid, a web-based project management interface that he uses document existing conditions and to track his construction administration activities. Prior to joining GMK, Mr. Earnest held engineering positions at the V.C. Summer Nuclear Station, providing oversight for construction and engineering activities and developing regulatory required programs for the monitoring and maintenance of the Nuclear Plant’s critical systems. Mr. Earnest holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of West Florida and is a registered professional engineer in South Carolina. He also served in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer during Operation Enduring Freedom aboard the USS Gettysburg with responsibility for multiple electrical, computer, and communications systems.
